CECH, the Chatham Ecumenical Council for the Homeless, Inc., is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) based in Chatham, MA. Donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
It’s important to recognize that homelessness affects all of us. In fact, an unhoused person costs each taxpayer an average of just under $36,000 per year.
A recent survey showed that there were some 570 unhoused people on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket – a 33% increase over the previous year.
We respond quickly, often within 24 hours.
At CECH, we are all volunteers. 93% of the funds we raise go directly to those in need. No one in the organization receives a salary.
